The candidates will develop a substantive understanding of six components of reading as a process by creating a Reading Information P (7-10 p long including Title and Reference p). In this assignment, you will define and explain each of the six reading components (comprehension, oral language, phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, and vocabulary) and their relevance to reading development. You will include research evidence-based practices/strategies that promote the development in each of the areas of reading. You should provide an introduction and conclusion.
Please note that you must do research and have at least 5 references (journal articles and textbooks other than the course text).
